About Loco
Chocolate is older than you think.
Three thousand years before chocolate became a bar, the people of Mesoamerica drank cacao as a sacred ritual. Loco takes its name — and its glyph — from that ancestry. We make chocolate the way it deserves to be made: slowly, by hand, from single-origin cacao.
Our process
Bean-to-bar, every bar.
We start with cacao beans from a single farm we know by name. We roast, crack, winnow, grind, conch, and temper in our own kitchen — no third-party manufacturing, no premade couverture, no cocoa butter substitutes. What you taste is the bean and nothing else.
What we believe
-
Single-origin
We work with one farm at a time. The label tells you exactly where your cacao came from.
-
Small batches
No bar is more than a few weeks old. We make small, we sell small, we never warehouse.
-
Fair to the farmer
We pay above commodity price, direct to the grower. Real cacao only exists if growing it makes sense.
